Such a special thing to see!! Next year I will hopefully make the journey to see them myself. In the mean time, the elegant and beautifully articulate Joanna Lumley takes you on her journey..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NR5x42AQTSk

Spot on Paul - this sort of stuff needs to be said. unfortunately this practice is pampant and not a good reflection on the Lighting Industry. Of course there will be a short term gain for a contractor and potentially a builder and lighting company but there is no benefit to anyone over the longer term. One point Paul, it is often the builder that will pressure the contractor into this sort of practice, so there is more than one company that makes a small profit. As an active member of our great Lighting Industry I would encourage people that see, hear or are in some involved in "spec busting" to do your darnedest to stop it!

I have a true replacement for the Mercury Vapour 80, we are a distributor for an LED company that is trialling with Endevour Energy and Essential Energy. We have a 30w LED that is getting the spacings and uniformity saving up to 60% in energy costs. Give me a call or send me an email and I can send Tech data and IES or CIE files.
regards
